Sinopsis: Orgón, rico y honrado burgués, queda impresionado al conocer a Tartufo, devoto que encuentra en una iglesia. Lo acoge en su casa y lo convierte en su director espiritual. Esta situación y la natural preponderancia de Tartufo suscita en la familia una revolución. En El Tartufo, Molière denuncia la ambición, la hipocresía y los falsos devotos de la sociedad.
