El sueño tiene como punto de partida un encuentro imaginario entre la escultora francesa Camille Claudel y el pintor y escultor suizo Alberto Giacometti. Esta propuesta poética-onírica coloca a dichos artistas 'veteranos' en un espacio efímero, una especie de limbo de artistas, para permitirles en un acto psicomágico hablarnos de los claroscuros de su condición como artistas. Se evocan temas como la inmortalidad de la obra, el oficio y la transcendencia del artista, el poder transformador del arte, el temor al fracaso, la duda sobre la calida…
